OUR STORY

How "Fancy Pants" got its name.

A nickname earned in every kitchen Chef Keis worked in. A brand built for women who refuse to disappear into the line.

01 The Origin

A nickname that wouldn't quit.

In every kitchen Chef Keis worked in, the same thing happened. She'd walk on the line in a coat she'd tailored herself, in pants nobody else was wearing, in colors that didn't ask permission. And every time, the other cooks, chefs, and staff around her would land on the same name.

"Here comes Fancy Pants."

What started as a compliment, became Chef Keis's nickname in every kitchen she worked in. It then became a brand built for every woman in the culinary industry who'd been told, in a hundred quiet ways, that the line wasn't a place to be seen.

The Origin
02 The Problem

Built for men. Sold to women.

For years, women in professional kitchens were expected to do more than just cook. We had to cook like the boys, move like the boys, lead like the boys, and assert ourselves just to avoid getting run over on the line. We cooked the chef's recipes, adapted to the culture, and learned how to survive inside environments that were never truly designed with us in mind.

And somehow, we were expected to dress like them too.

Chef wear was built around a man's frame: boxy pants, dropped shoulders, scratchy fabrics, oversized silhouettes, bland colors, and uniforms completely disconnected from the women wearing them. No shape. No personality. No consideration for how women actually move, work, or want to feel in the kitchen.

The options were always the same: swim in the uniform or spend extra money tailoring it into something wearable.

Chef Keis was tired of both. So she built the third option.

The Problem
03 The Solution

She stopped waiting and built it herself.

Chef Keis walked away from the racks of ill-fitting, colorless chef coats and sketched the collection she always needed. Not gear borrowed from a men's catalog. Not a pastel compromise. Gear engineered around the way women actually move, work, lead, and look.

"If the gear doesn't exist, you design it."

Fancy Pants Chef Gear launched with a single conviction: professional women in culinary spaces deserve to feel as powerful in their gear as they are at the pass. Every cut, every color, every collection is the answer to the problem she lived for years.

The Solution
04 The Brand

Six collections. One philosophy.

Fancy Pants Chef Gear is built around the idea that what you wear in the kitchen is part of the work. Every collection has The Standard: ingredient integrity, scratch craftsmanship, creative authority, hospitality, energy.

Six archetypes for six different kitchens. The Classic for the woman who respects tradition without disappearing into it. The ChefNista for the runway energy. The ChefSITA for the tailored statement. The Champ for the quiet authority. The Monroe for the soft power. And the Tees, for what you wear under the coat — and after.

The Brand

THE STANDARD, IN FULL

Five principles. One philosophy.

01

Ingredient Integrity

Material Integrity

Great food begins before the kitchen. Every ingredient evaluated for quality, freshness, and character. Every fabric, stitch, texture, and finish selected with the same intention. Balancing durability, movement, comfort, and elevated design.

02

From Scratch, Always

Intentional Construction

Every dish built from the ground up. Every step executed with intention. Depth of flavor defines the work. Every garment designed from scratch and engineered with purpose from silhouette and tailoring to ventilation, movement, structure, and functionality.

03

Creative Authority

Creative Expression

Chef Keis is a culinary artist. Flavor is built the way a painter builds composition through instinct, training, and point of view. Bold color, expressive prints, feminine tailoring, and elevated silhouettes designed to allow individuality and confidence to exist fully in the kitchen.

04

Hospitality as Connection

Presence & Confidence

The table has always been where people come together. Every experience designed to make guests feel welcomed, connected, and fully present. Fancy Pants is designed to help women feel powerful, polished, and fully themselves in every environment they step into.

05

Energy in Motion

What you bring into the kitchen goes into the food. Creative energy, protected with intention, maintains the standard in every plate. What you wear impacts how you move, perform, and show up in the kitchen. Every collection designed to support confidence, comfort, presence, and creative energy under pressure.
